A Look Back at 2024

First let me wish all our readers (and AI bots) a Happy New Year. May it be filled with laughter and great photo opportunities.

2024 was a year with a full program, new members and of course hundreds of new photos. The quality seems to get better every year.

To start with some photos of our club members having fun at our gatherings and outings. As you can see we are a sociable bunch of photographers.

The second section is a random selection of images chosen by me, from competition entries, Facebook posts etc. I have tried to get a cross section of our members photos in this section to showcase the talent we have in our club and the wide range of subjects photographed.

Christmas meal at the Globe.
October – Visions weekend outing at Dunkeld.
June – Waiting in vain for the super moon to make an appearance. It is always surprising how many different images come back even though we all stood in the same place.
Pro photographer talking about his work at a club meeting.
September – Happy faces in the pub after the Auld Aberdeen photo outing. And yes that is Dave twice, no photoshop or AI involved.
July – Isle of May Boat trip. Still smiling before they got soaked. But they came back smiling with some great bird photographs. Photo by Lynda Gordon.
Kate Spink and Dave Lynch with their images selected for the Greyhope Bay calendar.
June – Quarterly social at the Noose and Monkey
20 June – Visionaires hunting Puffins at Bullers of Buchan.
February – Model shoot at Ruthrieston
February – Aberdeen Spectra festival photo shoot participants.

Below a selection of images that I personally found beautiful and/or striking, interesting or otherwise attracted my attention. In other words a very subjective compilation of photos posted on Facebook during 2024. Enjoy!
