Visions Photography Club is an active and dynamic group based in Aberdeen with a membership that includes photographers of all levels of experience.  The focus is not solely on competitions, but on helping each other to become better photographers through social interactions, practical sessions and outings. We want every Visions member to enjoy photography and that can be with a mobile phone camera, a compact camera, a bridge camera, a DSLR or even film if you prefer.

Currently Visions is operating a mixed schedule with both face to face meetings and virtual sessions (via Zoom) which allows us access to speakers from other locations, for example from other parts of the UK or even recently from the USA.

  • Our private Facebook page visionsphotographyclub.com is very active, and we are running fun photo competitions every month. Access to the Visions FB page is automatically granted for club members.
  • You can see the exciting programme of events here.

Please feel free to get in touch with us, we are always keen to welcome new members to Visions.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Grampian Eye competition 2023 results!

Grampian Eye was held last Saturday (22 of April) at RGU. We surprised ourselves by winning two individual image prizes and came a respectable 5th place.

A happy Visions team at RGU. Some of us celebrated with a meal and a few drinks at the Cults Hotel that evening.

Bon Accord a well deserved first place with some stunning images, closely followed by Speyside. Then a chasing group of Mearns, Moray and Visions.

Pamela and Andy are Individual Award winners!

Pamela Stuart won Top image with Past Hydrangeas, an exquisite composition.

Andy Reader’s won Flavour of Grampian: Aberdeen Storm. Fantastic light on the crashing wave at the breakwater.

This beautifully lit shot with a natural vignette focussing the attention on the 2 children is called ‘Kids of the Khorbat Ksar” by David Lynch and came second in the monthly competition of the Royal Photographic Society – Scotland section.
