Visions Photography Club launched on the 31st March 2011 and currently has an expanding membership of around 40 photographers.
Whether you shoot with a phone or have the most up to date gear, all are welcome to come along and share their skills, learn from others and be part of a friendly community of like-minded snappers.
We meet most Thursday nights from 7pm to 9pm at:
Ruthrieston Community Centre
532-536 Holburn Street
If you are interested in joining please do contact us for more information.
Visons Photography club is run by a committee of members, elected every year.
The committee consists of:
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Competitions Secretary, Web Person and a couple of extra members.
Photos of current committee members.
You can contact any of the above on the main club email .
Membership fees will be charged per quarter (3 monthly). The current fees are £15.00 per quarter with a discounted membership rate of £10.00 per quarter for students and unemployed.
You are encouraged to set up a standing order to pay your fees quarterly. For details please email the club or check in the Files section or our Facebook page.
All fees go towards the rent of the hall, equipment for the club and external speakers. No one is paid for administrating the club.
The club has a very active private Facebook group, VisionsPhotographyClub.com, which is a private group for its members to use. The group is used to share and comment on photographs, to pass on club information, and to ask questions. If anyone needs any help to set up a Facebook account please email the club or speak to a committee member on a club night.
Facebook is good for day to day things, but the photographs are of low quality. Members are encouraged to upload photos to our Flickr group.
This brief guide summarises the main points you need to know when you join the club.
Hi was just wondering what days you do your camera club
Hi Mike, Our club runs most Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm. If you check the Events page you will find our schedule. Some Thursdays we have outings or committee meetings. This week, 27th April, we have a lot of members giving short presentations which should be really good. Hope to see you there?
