I joined Visions in autumn 2017 and was persuaded in March 2018 to join the committee as treasurer. My main passion is travelling to remote places and photographing wildlife, also landscapes. I enjoy the diversity that the Club provides and value the opportunity to pick up hints and tips on photography from other members.

Landscape and travel photography are my favourite subjects. Bought my first new camera (Nikon F) in 1969. Finally gave up on film when the D70 appeared in 2004. That’s a lie: just bought a couple of vintage film cameras.

I have been a member of Visions since 2015 and a Committee member since 2017. Past Visions President and in charge when we organised a very successful Grampian Eye in 2019. I really enjoy experimenting with new (to me) photography ideas and learning from my fellow Visionaries.

I enjoy most types of photography, although I mainly concentrate on landscape, nature and portraiture.

Mark takes photos of landscapes, a bit of astro, wildlife, architecture, drone photo and video. A bit like Banksy he is not often photographed himself, but we did shoot an image of him eventually, using a long lens.
