Led by Marius Fabian, who supplied not only the lighting and backdrops, but also the two lovely models, Vicky and Sandra. (Instagram @earthygirl_vikidarja1 and @xo.chandie). Marius also had some handy tips in a Powerpoint on how to set up the camera using the flash units. Using radio triggers for the flash we took turns to take photos, some of us just used the available light in the room to photograph as that was very soft so no harsh shadows. The flash lighting of course gives far more control, but with so many people it was tempting to try to get a few images rather than wait around for a turn. A great evening which was followed a week later with a review of the images taken by the Visions club members.
Below a selection of a few images culled from our Facebook page.

Dave Lynch managed to get almost everyone in the frame, not sure where I was hiding, probably looking at the back of my camera to see if I managed to get anything in focus at all 🙂

Vicky – this time using the flash to get some nice directional light. Photo by Andy Reader

Sandra probably had to wear a neck brace after repeating the hair flick multiple times. Definitely taken with flash to freeze the hair. Photo by Sue Heard.

Sandra – I’m sure I don’t remember seeing this backdrop. Photo and editing by David Drage.

Vicky – photo taken without flash – Rob Romani

Lovely smile by Sandra – the vintage film look perfected here by Roger Barnett.

Sandra by Marius Fabian – another background replacement!

Smiley Vicky by David Drage.

Bit of fun near the end of the evening. But who is that photo bombing the shoot? No less than our club president toting the largest lens I’ve ever seen used in a portrait shoot. Photo by Sue Heard.
