This Thursday at Visions we welcomed local photographer Howard Kennedy to the club to give us a talk on his African Safari photography. Howard has run and been on several trips to Kenya and has taken some excellent photos there. His shots not only included images of the “big five” animals (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino) but a wide variety of other animals, birds, landscapes and people. He also gave out some invaluable advice regarding how to go about organising and going on an African safari tour and certainly gave us a lot to think about. Howard also runs a variety of other practical and training workshops, talks and trips including subjects such as Lightroom, art nude models and Scottish landscape. Details of these can be found on Howards website at the following link:
We also started the evening with a “Top 20” images chosen by club member Graeme Youngson. Graeme chose and presented a selection of his favourite images chosen from the group Facebook page. This is something we regularly encourage our members to do as we welcome active participation from all members.
Please leave a comment - we would love to hear from you.
