Bonniemuir Photo Booth – a Fun Day

September 2025

Over the last year Visions has been working with the Bonnymuir Green Community Trust to help highlight the public space and garden via photography.

Situated in the West End of Aberdeen this is a thriving green public space with a popular cafe and garden. In a previous life it was a bowling green but fell into disrepair in 2015 before being rescued by the Community Trust and a bunch of dedicated volunteers.

We were approached to run a “photo booth” during their annual BBQ  in September– with Visions taking the photographs and sending them out to the customers and Bonnymuir collecting a small fee from participants to help with their fundraising

A crack team of Visionaires (Pamela, Andy, David Lee and myself) attended on the day and around 30 family groups were photographed. Andy and David did most of the photography, whilst Pamela helped putting the youngsters at ease and I was left with the paperwork.

Bonnymuir provided a fabulous floral arch as a backdrop for our photographs and even the sun appeared!

It was a lovely way to spend a late summer’s day and hopefully something we can repeat again (if asked!) in the future.
