Visions’ Autumn 2024 Trip to Dunkeld

Last year (2023) Visions organised a weekend trip to Dunkeld that unfortunately coincided with severe local flooding leading to cancellation. This year the weather was far more cooperative and the excursion went ahead as planned. The following is a selection of images from the participants chosen by Andy Reader who kindly organised the outing.

Not only was the weather great, but autumn foliage was probably the best it had been for years.

Locations visited

•Dunkeld centre – Interesting buildings and views from the bridge

•Riverside walks

•North side – Dunkeld to Dunkeld House Hotel

•South side – Dunkeld Bridge to Birnam Oak and beyond. Circular route back through Birnam

•The Hermitage – Lovely woodland walk up the Braan River to Ossians cave and beyond (can go up to Rumbling Bridge)

•Polney Loch just north of Dunkeld on back road to Pitlochry
