Bubbles Night – 11th Jan 2024

First event of the year was a practical session led by Susan who also provided the secret bubble mix. A container and a straw to blow the bubbles are all you need. A camera with a macro lens and a tripod might also be useful, but even a mobile phone works well with its huge depth of field compared to a full frame camera at very close range. A few pics of the club members in action and some of the resulting images below.

Now that we all have live view, no one looks through a viewfinder anymore. I noticed that a lot of wedding photographers now also compose their shots at arms length on the rear screen. Photo by David A Lee, trying out his new 50mm lens.
