Alan Meek and Kevin Dawson (instagram @redbudgie), both former members of Visions, had been asked to run one of their fire spinning and LED light shows for us to photograph. It was a nice clear evening at Aberdeen beach, a wee bit chilly as my fingers and toes suffered a wee bit towards the end. Should have brought gloves and worn thicker socks…..
The dynamic duo gave us the camera settings to use, something to focus on and the command to open and close shutters. Really easy and guaranteed to get a result. One of the pair would swing a fancy multi coloured led light in a pattern that only became an obvious object at the end of the 30 second or longer exposure. A quick push of the review button would show what they had created. Great fun!
We were entertained for two hours with a variety of light shows. Many thanks to Alan and Kevin!

Alan started with writing the Visions club name in the air, this took a few goes as he kept reversing the letter S. Not easy as he had to write in mirror script, standing behind the LED light. Photo by Rob Romani

Next some fire spinning. A bit of magic fairy dust is lit and swung round at the end of a string. Simples, if you know how. Photo by Andy Reader
